What I meant is that if there is proper beading on the pipe ends, the silicone is good quality and all parts are spotlessly clean during build, and the hose clamp is a good quality stainless piece.
Then it should not pose any problems.
There is a lot of force trying to blow the pipes apart under boost, obviously this increases with boost and pipe diameter.
With twins w/ intercooler i only have 5 pieces of silicone and bead roll'd on all 3 1/2" ,,it was hell just getting them on ,,if a pipe comes off i can only imagine the silicone ripped in half lol ,, thanks for the info ,,congrats with the monte ,,sounds like you got a 6.40s-50s in it with more boost?
