Big progress update!
oil pan, tapped and ready to go
Next the motor was lowered onto the K member so that i could install the clutch/flywheel and bell housing. I took a chance and went with the McLeod (i got a smoking deal) and i have to say that it was a slight pain in the *** but nothing unmanageable as some make it out to be. I opted out of grinding the back of the pan and just made some cuts to the motor plate, no big deal.
McLeod bell and trans bolted up to the motor:
My friend TurboLS1SS offered me use of his lift but hauling the car and everything else over to his old shop would be quite a hassle so i figured i would take the chance on doing it on the ground. An adventure to say the least:
Nothing 6 jack stands, an ATV jack, floor jack and 4 good friends cant handle...

Some more progress!
Fuel system done, for the most part
Turbo, WG, hotside etc all on for the final time (hopefully). Feed line in, just measured and ordered parts for the drain. It is unbelievable how close the 76GTS comes to the balancer and serp belt. This kit was designed to be used with a TC76 so i got lucky that my larger precision turbo squeaked by!
Figured i would hack something together to keep the radiator in place until i can get someone to make me a nice shroud. All in all it turned out much better than i expected. Started with a $9 piece of sheet aluminum from Lowe's
A little bending and a coat of flat black
Tomorrow is my last day of classes so i should have much more time to work on the car in the coming weeks. I just want to hear it start!!
