Default Misfire in heavy rain Procharged with debaffled hood

I cleaned my Procharger k&n filter and let it dry for a day and then oiled the inside and outside. Let it dry for hours. About 16 and then before I drove it I checked the second plug back on the drivers side and they look good so I put it back and that was that. Coming to work today in heavy rains doing 80 I get
To the end of the thruway and shift into second to go through easy pass and then light throttle to 2500rpms and it misfires. So shift to third and bring it to the same 2500 and same thing.

Btw my hood is completely debaffled and opened up in the nostrils too. I've driven te car daily for the last 4 months and have 6500 miles on it and not one problem. Before I go home today I'm going to duct tape up the debaffled hole.

Now. What could be the prob. The car was fine last night in no rain.

No way it's oil from the
Filter as it would have to go through the sc then
The twin ics and then finally to the maf.

It's gonna be my lack
Of baffles ?

When you say misfire, do you mean like a stumble or a backfire/pop?

I think that you should start with the basics. Pull plugs and check wires.

Went out on lunch and ducttaped up the baffle hole. Let it run and get hot went for a quick ride and not 100 feet set misfires about 2500 rpms in second again. Everything looked dry. I have an aeroforce so I can see the misfires.

At 2500 it hits a wall. Like stumbles and rpms won't climb.

I'll check the plugs and probably replace. How do I test the wires ? I have a nice fluke multimeter that I got for Xmas.

I'd still try cleaning the maf, I've seen it happen before. Bob

Just got done with plugs and wires. Idle seemed better but I could be nuts. Took it for a ride and same ******* thing. So now I'm fucked and have no clue what it is now

Also I was watching misfires. None the whole time and one time I kept a steady throttle percent and it has like no power and won't do anything but no misfires on the aeroforce. So I don't know now.

Took the plastic merge off to get to the Maf and what comes out of the plastic merge. White colored water. Yeah no good.

So put the maf on and plugged in and started up and revved it to get some water out and yep. More came out.

This have never happened before and I never drove through any deep spots ? WTF. Yeah it rained hard

I had that happen in my old turboed car. Went through heavy rain and some water going over the road. Just unhooked the intercoolers and let them drain out

The Procharger looks great at both ends. Fins are perfect look brand new. So cleaned almost all the pipes and the main stuff
Out ran it a little with the merge out and dry and good. Let it warm up a little and changed the oil and went for a ride and
Luckily it's good as new. Knock on wood.

Now what caused this. The Procharger setup is stock and done to the way the instructions say. Anyway to prevent this besides not driving in the rain. Also. Where did the water get in?

I don't want this to happen again and ruin my day.

Cleaned the Maf with Maf today with Maf cleaner and it runs better. I think back to normal. Should I change the oil again?

its your o2 sensor connections getting moisture in them man. I went weeks having the same thing happen to my car. I did everything your doing. Changed plugs, wires, fuel filter, cleaned the maf etc. Still only did it when it was raining out. I ended up jacking the car up to take a look at the o2 connections and when I unplugged the connections they were soaking wet inside. I put electric grease in them, and electrical tape around them and havent had a problem sense.

Well i cleaned the maf again with maf cleaner and i still get a touch of misfire , its better than after the first time i cleaned it . But i still get it when i do a 1-2 shift at 2000 rpms . Should i clean it one more time , or clean the tb or what ? And the misfire usually comes up as a few like 2-6 on that shift and goes away on the aeroforce within a few seconds.

next year a new tune is my number one priority , id like to do an ls6 intake but i think the tune is what i should get . Where can i get a procharger twin ic inlet to the tb . It would be nice to delete the maf and have a nice one piece from the procharger plastic merge to the tb .

Its possible its shot when it still works good almost all the time ?

What should i do about getting another in the mean time?

used advace auto?

OKAY UPDATE FOLKS
So here it goes , go a lifetime warranty maf from Autozone or advance doesn't matter . Put it in and drove to work , all the same issues i had with the other one.

Now im gonna unplug it and drive it home and it will be fine again like before .

Am i retarded or can i assume i got a bad one right from them??Nothing has changed , the maf got wet and the factory one screwed up , and this one does the same thing ??

If it got wet, clean the factory one with electrical contact cleaner.
