I bet it will work just fine the way it is. what is the lowest boost your shooting for? your builder is going to have to make a new merge or patch that one. $$$ and time. that gate and pipe are huge. it is going to vent pressure, it might not get you down to 5.psi but i bet it will regulate down to 10-12 psi.

it will work. my last turbo kit had a wastegate a foot from the merge on one pipe. the only problem youll have is that you wont be able to run as low a boost number as one with proper location as youre missing out on some flow

The merge isnt cut yet, just tacked there for fitment. We're going to leave it there, and make a crossover pipe to tie into that one. Thanks for all the responses guys. I cant wait to get this thing finished.

I spent the better part of a week trying to get my wastegate and dump pipe where I wanted it. Had to move the rest of my pipes to accomodate it. Hope you get it figured out in a way that you are happy with, hard to fit 10 lbs of crap into a 5 lb bag sometimes

when the gate opens you are likely going to have a balance issue in the motor since one side will be feeding turbo and the other side will be out to atmosphere (less pressure)
What issues will this cause?

Here's mine. Looks pretty phallic. This was the original setup. Since then I had to step up to a 60mm JGS as the 44mm Tial was only able to get me to 15 psi with the softest spring. I can get down to 6-7 psi on a 4 psi spring with the 60.

that should work just fine. that kind of pipe fitting is very difficult to do. good work. i wish someone would teach me the easy way to fit pipes. "if there is such a thing"

There are tricks of course but nothing easy about it, time and patience, and lots of it. Nice work, should work perfect I bet.
