Anyone running the LSX-LS7 Heads with boost?
These look like a pretty good deal, anyone running them yet?
How well will Titanium intake valve and sodium exhaust valves deal with turbocharged abuse?

the LS7 exhaust valves are JUNK. Do a search on Corvetteforum for "dropped valve" in the C6Z06 section. You'll get a page full of post about guys blowing bone stock motors.
Other wise they are a pretty good flowing head.

There is a guy on here with a vette that is running a procharger and WCCH lsx-ls7 heads. I don't know if he has numbers yet. In the coming month I will be running the same WCCH lsx-ls7 head on my turbocharged lsx 427. Out of the box the head flows in the 330's. They require work to reach thier potential.

To be honest-we had a set of them and sold them. basically a stock ls7 head with 6 bolt provisions. Head was the same weight as the oem head so i can't see how they added material with no weight.
BTW-they had all stock valves as well

They do have a thicker deck to them and they come with stock valves. Like I said they need to be worked to meet the needs of your application. I would not use them straight out of the box with the sodium filled exhaust valve because they are weak. At a minimum change out the exhaust valve and valve springs.

It really all comes down to power goals and if it is a dedicated track car or street/strip. The LSX heads, out of the box, I think are great for street cars staying under a 1000hp. Your looking at spending in $2800 after changing exhaust valves and springs. If you get them ported your looking at $3900. Once you get to this point the MAST heads start to come into the picture.
Basically the big dog heads are MAST, ALLPRO. $4500-6500 assembled
Regular guy heads Trickflow, GM LSX. $2500-4000 assembled
These are all 6-bolt offerings by the way.
Do a lot of research on these 4 brands and pick what best fits your needs now and in the future.

The intake valve is fine its the exhaust valve that is the issue. The sodium filled exhaust valve snaps under high load even in N/A engines. Cheap insurance to go ahead and swap those out. If you change the valves should probly go ahead and change the springs out for dual springs. The LSX heads are farely new and unproven. The Trickflow heads have been used a lot and hover in the same price range as the LSX heads. Like I said there are a couple of us on this forum that are going to be using the WCCH lsx-ls7 heads but they are not finished yet.

The Mast heads as per there website are going 1500 odd dollars each side fully assembled with stainless valves and .650" beehive springs so that is $3000 for heads not 6500.

30lbs of boost is a lot for any head. If you plan on running that much boost I would definately talk to Shawn or Kurt Urban. I am running the LSX LS7 head but have not ran my combo yet so I would not be much help.
