Default 11-1 compression + boost = boom?

i want to know if i can get away with boosting a stock bottom end LS1 with milled 243 heads. the heads have been milled .030" and compression should be about 11-1. I know that i would have to get better injectors, but i just want to know if im asking for trouble with higher compression. if so, how much boost do you think? the car has about 143000 miles btw lol but its runs fine

E85 will help a TON if you can run it.

meth should help with the higher comp for sure. and get a really good tuner to help... but, there is alot more that goes into that question than what you have asked...

I've put about 5000 miles on my boosted setup so far. My car has almost 130,000 miles on it now. I made 444 rwhp / 415 tq before the turbo. My 243's have a little valve job work I did and milled .020" to get 11:1 or 62cc. .030" mill job will be around 60.5cc which is 11.2:1. I literally made 100's of pulls on this thing I'm not easy on it at all, I've gone through 7 gallons of meth just this summer The key is a good tune and 100% meth injection. I made 580rwhp with a tc76 on 7lbs and I've been running a 76gts now on 8lbs for the last 1000 miles or so. If you're not very familiar with tuning I suggest you get a set of 317 heads. I have done a few 3rd gear pulls that hit 16lbs of boost on accident, after I looked at the log I can't believe it's still alive. But my tune is setup to add a **** load of fuel above 8lbs of boost and pull quite a bit of timing, so I was only around 5 degrees of timing on 16lbs. I've tuned a few boosted ls cars so I've learned a few tricks along the way.

i wiped out a couple ringlands at 460 rwhp on my first fi motor, the tune is important but the pistons can only physically handle so much stress before they give. in my opinion your on borrowed time and should be prepared for the worst when it happens

If you hurt ringlands at 460rwhp that was tune related.
