5.3 turbo questions

Thats the type of info I need thanks. I was thinking of a turbo system I could use when I upgrade and go larger eventually and not have to buy turbo's again. I would like to make 950whp not flywheel hp. I don't know if that was what you meant. Where can I find info on how to do the math on this type of thing?
garretts website turbos by garrett has the math. short version is take the lbs flow x 10 is hp it will support. so if a turbo will flow 85lbs, 2 of them will support 1700hp
btw, how fast are you trying to go?
950hp at the wheel at 3500lbs in a well set up chassis is low 5s in the eighth and mid 8s in the quarter.

sorry, your first post said 750 whp which is abt 950 flywheel. for 950 whp, the 60s will do just fine.

what kind of boost would I be looking at to produce 950whp?

so if your 5.3 is cammed to make 400hp. it would take 14.5psi to make 800hp and another 14.5 psi to make 1200hp, so assume about 29psi to make 1200hp
if you are trying to go 8.50s, it will take abt 1100 at 3500lbs car weight or abt 25psi

I got it at 24 psi or 1207 at the crank in an ideal situation with twin Borg Warners
Link to a cool little tool.

its possible, but that would be with no ic loss, and the engine would have to be making 458hp naturally aspirated to do it at 24 psi
witness the 4.8 mag build made 1200 at 26psi, making 450hp naturally aspirated
also, that calc assumes 105% VE , which is really not possible on a stockish ls with the timing that we run for boost
