Wow, what kind of timing are you running down low from release of the trans brake till shift point? I'm curious, maybe Maxx can chime in if your not sure. This isn't a low blow or a jab or anything like that, but the car being that light has got to help keep it together some too. I know when your making as much power as you are now it really doesn't matter AS much, but it has to help a lot.

I'd rather not comment on the timing, as far as being light, the motor was in my daily driver ltd all year turned up on 24lbs, that car is 3700lbs so it definitely got a hard life!

AMAZING! Seriously... I can't believe it.

I'm confused, Are the newer 5.3's that much stronger than old LS1's?

Oh yea I forgot about that.

I mean I'd just like to know as obviously that's the key to keeping it together at this kinda power levels. Share the wealth man inquiring minds want to know!!!!

But seriously if there was more info out there on how to keep these shortblocks together it would be nice.

I know through testing and slowly ramping it up is the only way to truly find out, but it's cool if you want to keep it to yourself.

+1^

I have an Lq4 waiting to get boosted, but I'm wondering if I should sell it and snag a 5.3 Vortec.

I'll hit it with a 75 shot, really wanna put an 88 on it!

Here's an idea of the passes it did last night and today before the rain came(random order)...

9.0 at 158
8.81 at 163
8.83 at 160
9.0 at 162
9.4 at 145 letting off
8.75 at 163
8.85 at 160
9.6 at 153
9.4 at 155
8.68 at 164 with only a 1.38 60ft spinning the entire way down the track!

We still have some boost to put to it also to get it to 165 on boost only on the 76mm. If the rain stays away we'll make more passes tomorrow, not sure the track will be there at all though.

***** no joke.

This stuff just blows my mind because back in the 80s me and all my friends were amazed because my Mustang went 10.90 with a stock shortblock and now Skinnies is going mid 8s.

I feel bad for all the Ford guys (and Im a ford guy) that have to build a six or seven thousand dollar motor to run this fast.

Congrats to you skinnies. Very impressive!
