Yep a glide 33" tire and only a 3.50 gear.

5.67 at 129.8mph was the 1/8th

Can't wait to get it on a good track, I still think at this power level it has some 40's in it.

KCIR is closing so got in a few more hits today...

8.65 at 167.9 mph with a mild 1.44 60ft(had to lift completely as it was going right on the launch), 1/8th was 5.70 at 131mph on that pass. Then went 1.35 60ft on my other pass leaving softer so would go straight, lifted as it came out of the groove 300ft out and still went 5.55 at 122mph in the 1/8th, then lifted again around 1100ft as it pushed out of the groove, and went 8.67 at 158mph. Car will go to the chassis shop finally this week to get everything squared up and checked out(goes right and pushes right), I think 170mph is doable on the stock shortblock! Only changes from before was switched to slicks from the dot tires and ran at KCIR vs KID which allowed us to bring in high boost quicker today.

All in the plans with other upgrades. It actually stops better at this speed than my buddies 3rd gen firebird does at 140mph.

LOL, he needed one 18 MPH ago...

I have a question though. If you do have a chute, are you REQUIRED to use it if you are trapping 170mph?

Car is flying for sure. Hope you get the chassis issues figured out.

And no, you are not required to use a chute. Only have it.

We'll get it figured out, the chassis guy was there watching me make passes on Saturday. I just didn't get time to mess with it this year like I wanted since I didn't plan on the car being together at all this fall, only put it together to take the shortblock record back. I'll be shooting for .20's at 170+ next year.

Quite badass. If you don't get the chassis stuff figured out, call Eric Vicary @ Midwest Chassis he's excellent. He helped both Mike and Andy this past season, really knows how to figure stuff out.

I got a guy who is good, just honestly never planned on the car running this fall until the record got broken so just threw it together in a week and got the car back out how it was. It'll be a whole new animal next time out comes out. Should go straight and be able to finally leave hard, plus from that 8.65 pass I can see an easy 150lbs coming off the car if not more.

the heaviest mustang with driver was less than 3050 - this was stock factory glass, all steel except the hood, two alum seats, and interior plastics in place

im wondering, how easy, or difficult would it be to get a fox body to a 2600 lb raceweight?
