How many breather lines on the engine? That one line into your breather tank is insufficient. You will keep blowing out the rocker cover gaskets. Looks like a really cool car!

What is your 2 step set at? You will burn up the converter stalling it up on the brake like that if you do it to many times. You set your 2 step to build boost off of when on the brake. Badazz setup!

I asked a question related to just that comment. Asking a few more questions in pm's it seems a good quality converter will be fine. It's the heat and burning of the fluid you need to address. Which means frequent fluid changes since your only changing 1/3rd of the fluid at any one time.

Yes it is -10 to the valley cover in two spots.

I will tell you i put one in the front one in the back and used a T, then into the can. BIG mistake! i did not Know the cam would throw oil right into the lines, it fills my can up fairly fast. i will remove the cover and weld some deflectors under there to keep it out of the lines/can.

Different subject but there's a couple of TTI kitted corvettes going out to Bremerton today. Chris Stewart is taking his car out with the new LME 347 and another guy with a LSX 434 first time on the build for the 434 car and Chris's first time out on the 347.

Do you know Chris? red Z06 had a completely stock LS6 for many years, ran 9.80's-10.1 4L60 conversion.

Only way you could damage the converter is if you bent the blades in the turbine. When it flashes past it's rated stall your just pushing it out of it's efficiency zone that's all.

As someone else said heated fluid is what kills converters and tranny's.

Very cool but that video shows two problems. Your converter is too loose and you exhaust housings are too small. Instant spool is awesome but it comes with a penalty on the other end. I would have the converter tightened atleast 1000 RPM and see what happens first. Get a 2 step also. When you get the converter back see how hi it flashes in about 1.5-2 seconds and see what boost you get. Then set the 2 step around 4200 and see how much boost you get in the same time span. Then report back.

im ok with what i have. .81 A/R, 3" down pipes approx. 24" long.

it spools quickly because of 17 degrees of timing, my cam choice comes into play as well.

I do like what you have to say, but im not building a track car.

Wait, you talk a lot about Back pressure, are you thinking im going to have a problem?

Not with .81 A/R housings. I thought they were .68's. Just tightening the converter should be enough then. And if it's not going to be a track car, then you should tighten it even more. With that setup, I'd want about a 4800 stall at 8-9 psi power level and I'd want to set the 2 step down below 4K unless the chassis can hook the power and not flip you on the roof.

Just set the 2 step at 4k.

That should give it an awesome flash, I think that battle cruizer 4 link and 22" wide tires can handle that lol.

thanksguys,i think i will give the hy-guard a try, i might pick up a two step and a boost controller, something i can ramp in boost, is there some way to ramp it in by MPH? i dont like the idea of RPM or time. or something you have to trip at launch.
