Jim was always too smart to drive that car, It was either Mike or I Pulling the pin on those runs. But it was alot of fun

My favorite run is about 4 min. in on this video.

These runs were long before we ironed out the rear suspension.(and made it somewhat safer)

Hmmm, maybe you can answer this for me lsxmalibu, you think it would be better to run a ls9 cam instead of a 226/232 115lsa on a 5.3 with a chinese turbo? Bout to start my low buck build today

Is this the turbo everyone is talking about?
http://www.ebay.com/itm/HUGE-GT45-TU...3798fc&vxp=mtr

Would that work well on a stock 4.8? Looking to make 500....maybe 600 down the road. It sounds like this would make good turbo to get my budget setup working before a built motor and Trans goes in.

What kind of max psi will this reach without having to worry a out back pressure problems?
I'm new to the FI world so thanks for the advice.

As long as your exhaust system is up to the task, I don't see the ebay GT45 having any backpressure problems, as the turbine is quite a bit bigger than the compressor side (not typical of gasoline turbochargers).

just to keep up with the cheap chinese turbo thing, has anyone tried to go twins with any of them. Was looking at the t3/4 chinese models. Would they work on a bone stock junkyard lq9 drag motor? truck mani setup with a blow thru carb. Maybe make around 700hp? Would they even handle the exhaust flow?

Twin gt45's, OBX headers,LQ4, L92 Heads, LS9 cam, etc...

Still playing around with positioning. The OBX headers come too far forward (compared to Virginia Speed headers about 6" further forward), making it tough to fit it all. We are trying to fit it with fenderwells and not cutting them up.

Check out my build thread here: http://www.maliburacing.com/forum/vi...p?f=14&t=70008

I am good friends with Chad from On3 here in Columbus, OH. Ill be running one of his 76mm BB Turbos on my 6.0L build. He has a 2V mustang running one of his older style turbos and hasnt had any problems to date. Yes, he beats on them everyday as well.

With the speed that you change engines in that Fairmont, we'll be asking you how well it works. We'll probably still be plumbing this car while you're tearing up the track with the 6.0! We've still got a ways to go on the rest of the car anyway.
