I'd like to do the twin gt45's on a stock long block ls1 with a small cam, but I doubt they would spool on the street. Any thoughts on these? Seem to be decently sized for twins on an app like that.

the GT45's have kind of a large turbine for twins. You would probably be better suited to find a smaller turbine wheel option.

it would spool them, especially if you have an auto. Mine does just fine spooling in second gear with 4.30's and a t56.

I won't be turning the boost up until I get a ford 8.8 installed so I can change the gear ratio. 4.10 rear gear isn't helping much.

It weighs approximately 3000 lbs with me in it and is running on e85. I will post some pics later when I'm not on my phone.

Thats impressive!

I would think that turbo would choke on a LQ4, very nice!

Still playing around with positioning. The OBX headers come too far forward (compared to Virginia Speed headers about 6" further forward), making it tough to fit it all. We are trying to fit it with fenderwells and not cutting them up.

Check out my build thread here: http://www.maliburacing.com/forum/vi...p?f=14&t=70008
You guys have similar setups to mine. I'm not 100% done with it yet. I'm trying to finish painting my car first before I put everything back together. I put together a pair of Ebay GT45s, 38mm WGs, one 50mm RPS BOV and a Treadstone A2A intercooler. As soon as I get the car painted (this month) I'll put everything back together. Here's a link to my thread... https://ls1tech.com/forums/forced-in...cs-inside.html

I think the stock cubed LS1 will have trouble spooling these turbos so I'm building a forged LS3 to help spool them up. Do you guys think a 416ci would do the trick of should I just have the block resleeved and build a 427 or 433???

Did you ever get a response from that dealer on the cost of one?

How much boost has anyone ever pushed out of a single gt45?
Or has anyone ever maxed one out?

I bet all those die hard name brand guys hate this thread. Like its a sin to buy from Ebay. If Jesus was on a budget, I'm sure he would have Ebay turbos to.
