new to turbos few questions

As you read above this is my first time playing with a turbo in my car. i have a 84 notch i picked up for cheap and wanted to do a turbo ls1. but which one. 4.8 5.3 5.7 6.0... everyone i tried talking to shoved me aside and didn't wanna help or give advise. i just don't know where to start should it be injected or carb. the truck 6.0 iron block or the 5.3 alumni or iron block. if anyone would help a first timer out would be much appreciated

Id use a L33 alum 5.3 to save weight. Use injection.

Wouldn't the iron 6.0 handle the boost better bein iron?

It doesnt really matter unless your shooting for big power numbers. What are the goals?

If 600whp is all you're looking to make, then I would go with the 5.3 alumni. I have always been told from day one. Choose your turbo to fit your HP goal and build your motor are it.

I'm running a blow thru carb, works great and much cheaper than injection. I already had the carb, all I needed was msd 6010 box ($300) and carb intake (used200). If you have a carb already you can modify it for blow thru for next to nothing.
