I love my McLeod RST. Got the clutch and flywheel for less than $800 because of a pricing error in my favor

The clutch is easier to drive than the stock one in my CTS-V, revs faster (lighter flywheel) and is easier to push in. A little bit of chatter when new, but the thing is broken in now and is like butter.

I run the centerforce DYAD, i got one of the first units. right now im 823rwhp and street drive the car all the time. they send out a spec sheet with every clutch that shows the torque spec that each clutch held to. They test every single one. Mine was rated at like 1500 peak tq holding capacity

As far as twin disc clutches go, McLeod's RXT is rated to 1000HP and is tough to beat for the money. We sell it with the SFI Certified flywheel here: http://www.tickperformance.com/produ...A-1000%29.html

Is McLeod a better clutch than Ram,Centerforce or just cheaper?
how mutch torque does the rxt handle without problem
I hope to reach 1000rwhp with my engine (427cui+f1r)

A better clutch than RAM or Centerforce offer. We're Centerforce dealers, so I'm not just bad mouthing them because we don't sell their stuff - the McLeod is just a much better choice.

They rate their clutches by horsepower (not torque) so if you plan to make 1000rwhp, I'd go with a clutch rated to hold more than that. Their original street twin is set up to hold 1200HP and comes with an SFI Certified Flywheel:

OR:

You will need our Adjustable Master with either clutch.

Another vote of confidence on the customer service at McLeod. I spoke with Red for a good 30-45 minutes on what specific pressure plate and flywheel to use. He even went out of his way to have me call Summit, and order it through them because I could get a cheaper price than what he would have it listed as.

My original Mcleod single disc from back in 2001 survived a good long 10 years of heads/cam abuse and the new setup is going strong behind the same heads/cam setup with 14psi of procharger pushing it.

Skip the Textralia clutch. They are either out of biz or simply refuse to return calls or emails. No way to get replacement parts.

Get a Mcleod. I've driven a few in cars making 900rwhp+ and they drive like butter.

If you have major $$$$ then get the RPS carbon triple setup.

Sadly I had the same experience trying to get replacement parts.

Hence I bought the ACT Twin, and very impressed with it
