Do 241's and 853's have the same deck thickness and is it true that 241's have a thicker deck?

Sure would be nice, I know it isn't going to help near as much as say an aftermarket casting would, but it might be a small crutch over other castings if it is indeed true.

24lbs a lot on my 5.3 with a billet 76, have hit 30lbs when doing some testing though. Also running 24lbs on a 6.0 with a t6 gt88 with no coolant pushed. Use ls9 gaskets and arp head studs!

its all in the tune. you could be lifting heads on 10psi if it isnt right

Since I started pushing 15psi I always pop the hood at the end of the track before I get on the return road to see if it has pushed any water/coolant and so far so good.

This is good to hear im hoping to push my twin setup to 900ish rwhp when im done would be nice to use a lsa head lol

The LS9/LSA heads do have a thicker deck on them.
