My mistake. It is a 5.3. I thought the 4.8/5.3/6.0 were all LS1's. I guess not. The engine is an iron block with 862 heads. I got the 317's from a guy who had a blown up 2006 truck with a 6.0.
That tells you how new to this stuff I am....thanks for setting me straight. So is mine an LQ4?

It is pretty awesome! I had gotten to the point that people would come up to me and say..."you know there is a point that a wheelie is counterproductive." I would laugh. I only got to enjoy them for a very short time. I had finally got my factory suspension to work like that after several Chevelle.com members such as Bob W, Crazy Davey, Garrett Albright, all gave me suggestions and I just kept at it. I was doing some pretty bad *** wheelies for about three weeks and then blew the engine up. I sure hope I keep my wheelies with the turbo's. I am using a TH400, transbrake and 3.90 gears. All things I was using with the big block. Of course they probably won't be as good.

Here is a video of the car running 6.30's at the beginning of the season. It 60ft'd about a 1.38, but no wheelie.

This was right before I blew it up. Finally, after a full season of trying different shocks, relocation brackets, pinion angles, ride heights, etc... I finally got it to wheelie pretty damn good.

Gunmetal Gray. It is off a Honda civic but my father n laws dodge ram almost looks exactly the same. I took everything off that was chrome, scuffed it up and hit it with some semi flat black paint. The wheels are Weld Pro Stars that I painted also.

Process is slow and tedious but I am having a good time putting all this together. Lots of help behind the scenes from members here on this forum and some other forums. We got my intake and elbow media blasted (thanks Jon). Got the fuel rails, and hardware all stripped down and painted with Osha Black. The intake and Elbow was sprayed with High temp clear coat to protect it from fingerprints, etc.. after blasting.

Here is the paint and clear I used. The black has the perfect color black with just a little bit of gloss. Perfect for my theme.

Well, we ended up doing a whole lot more to the oil pan than originally planned. We got some 1/2" pipe thread to a -10AN for the oil drain back. It would have been easier to have just welded in some bungs but we had the time and didn't have the bungs. So to make sure we had enough surface to get a good seal after tapping the pan, we got creative. It's not perfect but it will do the job. Here are a few of the pics from todays work.
