Question about keeping A/C. My question is why dosent anyone just move the compressor? There must be a reason behind it because it seems like it would be so simple but yet no one moves it. Has anyone tried it before?
It's not just a simple as moving the compressor. The majority do front mounts which usually requires standing the radiator up and moving it further up within the core support thus causing your condenser to be further up too. Majority also use a fmic and it starts to be an extremely tight fit that lacks the air needed for cooling.
It is possible to keep the compressor in the stock location, you just need an LS2 Corvette exhaust manifold on the passenger side and a BMR turbo K member. Look at my build thread for pics.
There will probably be some other options for keeping the AC from vendors available soon as well. The C6/truck manifold setup is fairly expensive to do by the time you factor in the k member and everything else required.

Do you have a link evo? Idk how to find it lol. And im sure there would be a place to mount it. Maybe you could mount it to the passanger side and drill a whole in the wheel well and mount it there? Im not around my car to look now.
From some of the research that I have done it looks like this kit will allow you to keep A/C and run a factory K-member. Some people on here have used it. I dont know about keeping the radiator in the stock position though. I am looking at possibly buying this kit.
