Fuel system
-Upgraded 60lbs -> 80lb injectors
-255lph t-rex inline pump
-255lph in tank walboro
-Stock lines/rails
-93 octane pump gas
Alky control meth injection system
Goals for the car:
600-650whp for daily driving. Crank up the boost for the track to around 800-900. I think one day I'd like to put down a 1000+ dyno run just for bragging rights. I want the car to be very streetable, it will spend most of its time there. I want it to be reliable, I'd like to not have to invest much if anything at all for the next several years.
So my questions are:
What turbo should I go with? Jose at forced inductions recommended either an S400, PT88 or GT91. The S400 is very tempting as it is the cheapest option and will support around 1150hp as well as probably spooling the fastest and having a divided scroll for a spool valve if desired. The PT88 is definitely common and been around for a long time, and costs about $250 more. The GT91 is probably more than I would need.
What clutch do I go with? I've looked and there are MANY companies that make clutches. I'd like an option that will not need replacing every year, one that is rebuildable and one that will take the tq that I throw at it. I'd also like it to not cost me an arm and a leg. Drivability is a concern, but with the way I drive I don't slip the clutch that much. My previous clutch was a spec stage 3 on my 93 bolt on camaro with ~340whp.
What should I do to the fuel system? I've read the thread where MightMouse describes how to install dual 255s in tank that will support the hp I need. I've also seen kits for sale that will accomplish the same thing (I believe it was a Lonnie's kit for around $1500). I believe the 80lbs injectors are probably big enough to support the system, but would I need to change out all the lines and the fuel rails? How much of the fuel system would I need to change?
The car has a speed density tune on the stock computer. It is a 2002 SS.
One more question. What hp level would you think this engine is good for? It is being built by a very reputable builder.

youll need to pull every trick to get those turbos to spool, so you better be an expert. Youll also need more injector....
I think thats the wrong turbo choices for you, personally.
I would copy zombies setup as close as possible.
An auto would suit you much better.. If not, I would look into a blower if that is an option at this point.

I do have a really low compression ratio and will have a boost controller. My best guess is that to run the 600-650whp I would be on a low boost setting, then I could turn up the boost for 900-1000whp. I don't expect the turbo to spool by 2500rpm.

and I m pretty sure this is first hand advice......
With the T66 BB turbo on it, it spooled up by about 3k-3500 depending on how much load was on it.
I'm going with the 80lb injectors because I'm going to be running pump 93 octane and I have the stock computer.
I'm sad that the spool valves are so expensive, it is cheaper to upgrade to a BB turbo than to buy the spool valve I think.
