When I heard about this yesterday I was happy to know that Mike walked away. Watching the video certainly makes us all appreciate why we build these cars with so much safety equipment. This will be one of the racing video's I don't show the wife. Mike I hope you keep feeling better.

I just watched the video. That is a crazy crash. I am not sure that I have ever seen a drag car go sideways and get airborn going backwards like a cup car will do. Truly glad mike is ok.

No, we lost seal in the engine, probably a piston or rings and it pressurized the crankcase. He had the system vented into a catch can in the RF of the car, it was a 2.5 quart can, but more than that came out and it could not handle it and it came out of the breather onto the track.

Glad to hear Mike is OK. That's the important thing and the safety equipment did it's job. The video looks pretty bad, but it's probably good it scrubbed off some speed before hitting the wall. He has really been getting the car dialed in running 7.30's to win the shootout and the 7.20's he was running there.
