Stick with LS3 shortblock or go iron?
Im switching over to a turbo from nitrous. I have a Schwanke forged 376ci LS3 in the car right now with -2cc relief pistons, good rods and stock crank. Im kind of new to this turbo stuff and have NO idea where to start. I only have a goal. Thats to have around 1000whp and runlow 9's/high 8's. I already have a good chassis, trans, rear end so its just the fuel system and engine/turbo setup im up in the air on. Any idea's on who makes a good hot side setup? What fuel setup to run ect...Thanks in advance

Check Josh at KYTP builds awesome stuff
For fuel system check nasty and keep the LS3 but unless you're planning to run race gas
All the time then You need to lower the comp for 8:5 - 9:5 range
For 1000rwhp with your trans/rear and 376-390ci GT4788 will be perfect for street and 8sec passes

Call josh@ Kentucky Turbo for the kit. You are also going to have to get new dish pistons(blower/turbo) as well. I would also pin the main caps and or get billet main caps. All ARP Hardware,Turbo Spec Camshaft. A torque Converter designed for a turbo setup as well.

L92's and 317's have about the same deck thickness. You are going to need a set of aftermarket heads to get a good thick deck on them. If not you will be lifting heads and pushing water. TFS,AFR, Mast Heads are what you should be looking at for deck thickness for the power you are wanting to achieve without issues.

Yes they do, but cjg454 on here made damn near 1000 rwhp with them and he was using e85. He had more cubes with them though. I think the cooling effect of e85 helps keep l92 heads down and not lift them. If you want to keep your intake and so forth, just use a set of the new PRC ls3 aftermarket casting heads which have a thicker deck and a 6 bolt option.

I want to switch over to a super victor. They dont make one for L92's and id rather just throw the 317's on it so I dont have to worry. I can sell my L92's pretty easily.

Well Modular Turbo is out of the question. If you dont buy a turbo from him he wont sell you a kit. What he told me on the phone. Im about to just throw nitrous back on the car. Screw this bullshit.
