Just got a insane deal on bare lsa heads, valves, rockers, stands and ls9 head gaskets. I messaged Patrick g for a cam. Hopefully I will have the motor completely assembled before christmas.
Just waiting for my buddy to start on my t56. Im then going to get a twin disk and tick master cylinder. I hope to have the motor and tranny in the car by early january.
I need to post pictures, once I figure out how lol

Thank you headed ws6. I thought about the ls9 cam for cost reasons but im already in this deep with no end in sight...what's a few hundred more doll-hairs.
It doesn't seem like many people go with lsa heads yet. I think that will change soon. I hope to put down some pretty serious numbers with stock heads.

I will be running the lsa heads stock as well.... I will be running a magnum xt80 and hoping to make 700rwhp...
How much did the ls9 gaskets run you? I want to run and never thought about asking about them.
As far as the ls9 cam goes I've heard its not great for a turbo application.....

I think the ls9 gaskets ran me 35 each. The guy I bought the kit off of made 720 on 14 pounds with a 364. Im thinking my set up with more compression and better top end should make close to 800 with around the same boost level.

I am using the ls9 mls gaskets as well.
I was worried about the cam. I did not do it for cost reasons it just happened to be cheap. I just want the car to drive/idle like stock. It is a street car it is not max effort by any means.
Does anybody have results with turbo/lsa heads yet? I think they are still too new and not many people have yanked them to sell.
I was hoping for around 575-600rw and still have a great driver. Headed ws6 where did you see the ls9 cam is bad for turbos? I have heard good things but now I am a little worried lol.

I havent had much time to work on the car with all the overtime and holiday stuff going on lately but I do have some pictures to post.
I will soon be cutting the bottom of the core support out and my good friend brad from wagon wheel performance will be welding in some new metal to hold the radiator and a/c condensor upright so I dont have to cut the top out. Im trying to go for a really clean install. Here are some pics.

The picture with the 10 spokes is how the car looks now, I plan on buying zr1's for the car this coming spring. The picture with the slp 2otl and zr1s is from the previous owner.

^^^ Yes it is! Not sure what type of boost control you plan to run but it helps a great deal with spool on gear shifts to run a manual ball and spring style controller. I ran off the wastegate spring all year and didn't realize having a manual boost controller would help spool. Very important on a t56!
