Patrick G sent me his cam recommendation today, so I forwarded that onto EPS as soon as I woke up. That should be it for the motor besides getting the proper pushrods.

Christmas came early today. I got my custom cam and heads today in the mail. I will be taking these to CBI so Chad can finish up the motor.

My friend and I took apart my T56 and it was pretty tore up. I have everything ordered but the input shaft is on backorder. Hopefully I can find a nice used one for sale on here.

Well I have called 4 places to order a new input shaft for my t56 and they are on backorder with no idea when tremec will start making them again.

This is pushing me closer and closer to a th400 swap. And that was in the plans in the future anyway so I might as well skip the step of dumping money into the t56.

Well, i have a buyer for my T56 so I am going to have my buddy build me a RMVB TH400 with a brake. I am also going to do a narrowed fab 9 now with some deep dish wheels.

I guess im going to delete the A/C as well and do a 10 point cage.

It made no sense to spend 1200 on the T56 rebuild, 350 for the Tick master cylinder and 1000 for a twin disk when I planned on going auto in the future anyway...this just saves me money in the long run

I just spent an hour today talking to Jason from Midwest Chassis and he was a huge help. Great guy to deal with!!!!

I ordered strange 2 way adjustable front and rear coil overs. The fronts should be here in a few days.

And I went ahead and ordered a 9 inch from them.
3.25 gears
35 spline axles with a spool
Yukon through bolt center section
Powder coated black
Narrowed
and a Th400 cross member

Needless to say Im excited and I cant wait to pick it up and check out the shop.

You are doing all the right things the first time. Going with the auto now will really make your track days satisfying and the first time you launch off that transbrake will be the best day in your life.

Also getting the double adjustable shocks puts you way ahead of the curve in getting the car to hook. You will be able to throw a lot more boost at it off the line while adjusting the rebound on the front and rear shocks to get the car hooking and some good short times as a result.

The wife told me we are only doing this once...so top of the line it is!!!! Lol

Eventually I want to do mast heads and a t6 turbo. But this will do for now.

Im lucky enough to be in a position inup life where I don't have to cut corners on this car...it will just save me money in the long run.

Are you going to run radials? If so I'm sure no doubt Jason@MWC will give you all the baseline settings you need to get the car down the track.

Yup either a hoosier or mt radial.....not sure on size. Definitely a 28, maybe a 275 on a 11 inch wheel. I am going to buy a ams1000 so that will help also

Can't wait to order my 9 inch from MWC.

Good choice in my opinion on the 3.25 gear. I was thinking of 3.55ish for mine. 3.73 seems to low for a turbo 6speed car.

Yeah, for your car a 3.5 gear would work well. That is what I wanted to run when the t56 was still in the plans.

You might want to place a order soon with them. There is a wait list and mine wont be started on until mid to late february. I would give jason a call to get on the list...

I had 275/50's I was hooking on a 8" rim with my turbo set-up, but it wasn't at the power level your's will be at off the line, especially with the ams1000 making the boost for you. I'd do a 275/60 with a 10" rim. On my new set-up I have Holeshot 3pc. wheels that I am running as a 2pc. right now. The 3pc. part adds outer hoops to the wheel making it 12" wide. I might add the outer hoops when the stroker and nitrous goes in.

Im trying to decide what to do about a oil pan. I believe 98cobrakiller had issues with oiling under hard acceleration so I was looking at either a aftermarket pan or a trap door set up. Anyone have any ideas? Im looking at this trap door.

I like those but I have read that those are prone to leaking. Is that a 7 quart pan and how much was it?

Well looks like your car just turned into a race car. Why are you deleting the ac?
