Should I run more than 5.5 qts of oil in it. I have the stock fbody pan, meiling hv oil pump and a turbo.
The oil pressure issue happens at like 1500 rpms with little throttle.

Now it has a th400 with a rmvb and a transbrake.
On 8 psi it made 525 whp and 475 wtq. 12* timing and a 9 a/f ratio in boost. The tune was off because of the meth. It is being worked on now.

Here is a 18 psi video. It only made 625 whp on this pull with the 12* timing and 9 a/f ratio.

Where is the peak power at? 18 psi should have you at LEAST 200whp higher than you are now. Besides the tune it still just seems low to me. Is there anything else that would be killing the power. Converter, or maybe the dyno itself? Track times will tell I am sure. I run the exact same setup as you with a tiny cam and your numbers seem low to me more like 7-8 psi numbers. It looks like it pulls hard on the dyno though so maybe the track will tell the story. Good Luck.

I ended up getting a great deal on a pt88. I'm going to switch out my 222/226 turbo cam out for a different cam. I contacted virginia speed the other day and they said the vtc-3 cam would work best for me. Anyone have any opinions on that? I'm curious how it would work with a rectangle port head.
