Seen a lot of builds around here saying they have a 5.3 with a single 76mm, but which turbo is everyone using, or what are the options at least?

TIA

TC76 is the most compact, good bang for the buck. It is smaller physically, so it should spool pretty quickly on a 5.3 and it is pretty easy to find a place to stick it. The on3 76mm is essentially a t76 with a F1-65 turbine, so it should max at around 700 whp and have good spool on a stock 5.3. They are pretty cheap too.

Why not tc78. Same size physically. I have a barely used one for $750 shipped.

If you want sub 700rwhp go with a tc76(or 78) if you want more than that go with the precision billet 76.

I guess I'm like most people, I want as much as I can get lol. This will be going on a pretty much stock 5.3 (planning on just fasteners, valve springs and cam)

I'll be running a Turbo 350 trans with whatever stall speed converter I need. I do want to run an exhaust system on the car and don't want just a dump since it's a street car, so down pipe size may be a factor.

Basically would the Precision HPS76 be overkill for my application? The car weighs 3400lbs with driver. I'm wanting mid to low 10's.
