I think I might be sold on the brutespeed blower cam, i heard a vid of it running and it sounded beast . From what I hear is that it's hard to go wrong with boost + that cam.

I would Def. change the cam out for something more bigger something in the 230s range. If your going to spend the money for one spend it not regretting you went to small. I think you will be happy with the extra boost along with the cam. Call Bob and he will get you a cam that best suits your needs. Ernest

yeah, thanks for the advice guys , but then I still have the problem of if my 853's are gona hold me back when i'm shooting for over 600 RWHP? and if my P1SC will flow 12 PSI sufficiently..from my understandings ,a bigger blower will make more HP across the curve even at the same max PSI due to it making more boost more often than a smaller blower is capable of at the needed rpm's..but i don't see me paying ATI an extra 1,000$ along with sending my P1 in for a discount just for an extra 20 hp across the powerband..but the cam choice is set, that's for sure atleast

Our blower cam would help you out. Lowering your compression ratio would hurt you, as the P-1SC will make more boost with your stock compression ratio. Years ago we made 700 rwhp at the old EPP shop with an '08 LS3 Corvette with this same camshaft and 8.4 psi of boost from a D-1SC. The car had headers and exhaust on it but that was it. Good flowing heads make a huge difference but in your case you should be able to see 600 rwhp with 10 psi of boost and our blower cam. Bob

Thanks for the info Bob, I may have to hit you guys up for the pullies I need to make 10+ PSI with the P1 as well ( I'm assuming ya'll sell them?)..and yeah I will be getting the cam for sure..I wanted a good boost cam but also wanted the muscle car sound and once I heard that cam run in a video, I was SOLD!..now I just gota wait a couple months for taxes due to I will be needing to go with twin fuel pumps cause i dont' want to risk fuel problems with running more boost and I aslo need to get a set of LT headers ( I got mids) along with the Dyno tuning from Doc, but i'm the type when i get my mind set on a car project..it gets done!, thanks.

yeah your current cam is a little small for the application. i too wish i wouldve known id go Fi one day so i couldve gone with the Brutespeed cam, but i got lucky and got one pretty close. i got a 228R @ 114 from TSP and made supreme power from day 1 and turns out its got fairly good specs for a blower @ .588 / .588. im expecting 7-9lbs of boost and 560-590rwhp on meth. and to allout06 my good bud.....Julio at alkycontrol told me that too much meth will hurt you and actually take away from the cooling effect. boost juice from snow is what i am using. the water serves a purpose. feel free to chime in on my posts so i can get this pulley on. and to the original poster...i saw the vids on youtube....haha. didnt that car used to be silver?

I made 590/563 with meth on 9-10psi. ZO6 cam, 317 heads. I ran it for quite a while like that too. I don't foresee that being a big problem on 12psi or so. Mine was a D1 but the P1's are pretty capable too.

Your 853's wont hold you back. my tuner said my car would of made 600 but he was keeping the tune safe. so 600 should be obtainable.

nope..i am still trying to learn to pin the crank. i am unsure if i should drill it with the jig bolted directly to the snout......and also unsure if i should be drilling the hub....and if so....should i drill the provided keyway from ati...or make a new one...this part of the install has had me held up for 5 days.

this is a rough draft video meant for criticisms and im doing it to show you what im looking at and to help make sure noone ever has this much trouble with this stupid process again. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W5E5Vavbp7E

If your using the ATI superdamper, you cant use a front crank pinning kit. You need a side pining kit.

It was a steal and made 488 RWHP right of the bat when I took it to get tuned. It was in a sense perfect for MOST ppl who are'nt power freaks but I just was'nt satisfied. I immedietly painted it black ..built the tranny..added a stall..Moser 12 bolt..water/meth.bigger injectors..better fuel system..LS6 intake..and wider rims so i could slap some 315 drag radials on for my DD...I thought I got a good deal on it but now i have over 20k total wraped up into this car..but considering what it is ,and how fast it is,I can't complain at all
