BMW e46 swapped SBE 5.3 4L80( 8-21-13)
I was a big turbo Honda guy a few years ago and after alot of blown motors (t66, b16, crx 500whp pump gas) I Got tired of the 4 cylinder stuff and built Racejunky02's blue turbo camaro....I kinda liked the turbo v8 stuff...lol so over last winter I built my own turbo f-body https://ls1tech.com/forums/forced-in...-end-s480.html but after a couple months the cool factor wore off. F-body was to big and the stick with a big turbo didnt work as well as the high reving honda (9600rpms)....so decided that I waned to keep the Ls engine platform but wanted a smaller car and an auto...so here it is a 2000 328ci e46 with 169k miles for 4500 bucks....sold the motor and trans for $1k and the wheels for $600 the roller was perfect for what i was gonna do!
parts list....
Iron 370ci Callies rods, Je pistons, ACL bearings
Stock 317's
Brute Speed blower cam on 110lsa....sold the cam
Jakes 4L80 MV with TB 3200 stall

Show of hands for all that saw "328ci" and started thinking "all that money in a custom crank when he could've just built a 408 & gone faster..."
You may consider trying some flipped LS3 camaro manifolds (~$50 + shipping on various gen 5 camaro forums) to clear that steering shaft. You'll likely have to geat creative with the FEAD unless You point them upwards.
Regards,
Kurt
