But to answer your question, on a turbo charged car, a straight through muffler is always recommended. No more back pressure than just a straight pipe would be in it's place.
The same is going to hold true on a supercharged or NA car as well. Back pressure is bad when the ultimate goal is making power.
I noticed on mine setup, front mount turbo, with the cutout closed going through my dual spintech setup, 4psi less boost and it was def a turd.
But for the street, it was about perfect, if i needed the extra umph, id just open the cutout.
If i was in your shoes, thats how i would do it. best of both worlds, the sound you want for the road and the performance you need at the strip
