sounds like your flying a jet instead of driving a car. thats with an open red race bypass valve up top in my engine compartment though, im sure it would be quieter using the closed one and rerouting it or relocating it. its definatly not a sleeper!

I put a filter over the race valve because it sounded like a jet. Its quiet now. You do hear the whine from the blower though. I will see what I can do for a video this weekend.

i have a D1 and not an F1, but mine is still loud in car. i have the open by pass valve under the hood also, and u can def hear the "whoosh" when the valve is open. I pulled into the gas station a week ago and some guy was like "that thing sounds like a damn jet coming down the road" .....needless to say, it made me smile

Loud indeed but in a good way. On the highway though mine from inside the car w/ the windows up above 70mph you hear a different sound. Really hard to describe but somewhere in between a whine and whistle but electrified in sound. It's some weird **** that is cool as hell that I've never heard in anyone else's F series.

Its gonna be a weekend warrior, so I'm not so concerned about what it sounds like to other drivers or walking down the street.....but I'm not gonna be happy if I can't talk to the person sitting next to me without yelling..OR..being able to talk on the phone, and I don't want the whine to drown out my stereo.

An in car vid of cruising at 70mph and driving down a road at say 40-50mph....and then just sitting idling with windows up....

Thats would be appreciated.......thanks.

The F1's are another level compared to the p1-d1, I have a F1-r in mine and right now it has open headers and I can still here it whine really loud lol. The p1sc I had before sounded like a lot of air or kinda like a vacuum leak not so much as a whining sound to it. I think you'll have more of an issue of road noise (70 m.p.h) and your exhaust making more noise before the blower being louder.

If you're at normal cruising speeds, the bypass valve will be open, and if you have a race bypass it moves a LOT of air.
