Uploaded with ImageShack.usHope this works.......
Not sure if that placement would work for you in an LS1 but it seems decent in my lt1. Didnt have to hack anything appart to make it fit either. The heat exchanger is in front of the rad.

Default pump

Thanks guys this is helping me out alot..... Is anyone using more than one pump? I want to put my ice box behind my passenger seat. Since the pump is only a pusher I thought I would put an extra one.... Yes or No?

No need for 2 pumps. One good in tank pump will be good.

absolutely.

enough water capacity and an external heat exchanger.

myself, 5 gal water cell in the hatch area, and a stock removed afco heat exchanger from a ford gt500.

and on track days you can put ice in the tank and get it really cold.

A2W is what Porsche uses from the factory on several of their vehicles. They are fine for street and track use. Most of those guys will upgrade and add an additional heat exchanger when they turn things up though.

The H.O.S.S. I posted above has a 7 gallon capacity. Cruising on the highway, the water temp stays within 10degrees of ambient temp. When we r on the dyno, if the ambient temp is say 60*, at the end of a pull the water only reaches 72-73*. The point is, the water capacity is a very important part. Also placing the return as far as possible away from the pump pickup is a good idea too. On the dyno w 60* water(no ice) at the end of a 2-7k pull, making 1xxxhp, we r at 75* iat.

To sum it up, a2w is a fabulous idea no matter what the situation.
