Default E85 vs 93+methanol on a procharged car

If anybody can school me on e85 I'd appreciate it. Ups and downs on it and how does it compare with pump gas and meth as far as tuning and power goes? Would it benefit me to run e85 now that it's accessible for me? I was re-tuned a couple months back after adding methanol but am curious now after seeing so many guys running e85 on their high HP cars etc..

Thanks in advance,
Kody

No comparison IMO, you will be able to make much more power on E85. Unless you are spraying 400+hp worth of fuel via meth nozzles and pumps lol.

I can get it close to my house as well and wanting to eventually run mine on it. Gotta get the 93 octane tune right first.

What fuel system changes would I need to make to run e85 if I decide to? Currently I have:

-dual walbros in the tank
-svo 80lb injectors
-8 feed line
-factory feed line as the return
-big red aeromotive fuel filter
-summit fuel rails
-aeromotive boost referenced fuel pressure regulator

Thanks for the opinion, but could you explain to me why? What I'm wanting to know are the benefits of e85 vs. pump gas+meth.

If you do a search on here and google, you will get your answers.

The biggest limiting factor of your fuel system that I see are the injectors (unless that is rated at 3bar).

I personally still run both, we achieve 4 mph and about +100rw by running both E85 and boost referenced Methanol Injection, however my system also runs pre and post compressor, so not the avg install/design...

You should strongly consider E85 over 93...

When I build I plan to run E-85 despite the need for a 30-50% more fuel volume.

From what I hear E-85 allows for more boost & timing vs 93-94 octane.

E-85 & Meth should really work well with Intercooled Boost.

I will find out shortly. E85, Meth, and NO Intercooler! Getting close.

What injectors would I have to run? Also, what's the avg price per gallon of e85?

To me it 6 one way 1/2 dozen another. I run both but I like Meth due to mixture vary on e85.

E85 hands down will allow you to run more boost and timing.

Downsides: Availability, requires more $$ fuel system, range, harder to tune (IMO)

Upsides: More power, faster spool, does not knock, no pressure switches or secondary injection pump to fail

I only say harder to tune because I fully believe that E85 max power tuning has to be done on a dyno. Since E85 doesn't knock, it's hard to know when you've reach max power and when you've gone beyond. This could equal bent rods, etc, if you're not watching on a dyno.

My fuel system consists of 160lb inj, 2 Walbros, -8 feed, stock return, Fuel Lab reg, Aeromotive pumps

I haven't seen it but I hear E-98-99 is available also.
