That's what I had done before considering my car came with a ls1 and I converted to an ls6 intake. I'm guessing I might be able to get my ls6 intake back with the modified underside if I ask.

Nice, then you could sell the fast and put it towards the engine. You will be back up and running and faster in no time.

I bet it was just its time to give up. Not like number7 pistons ever need a reason to brake. Some don't last at 500 hp and others live long lives at over 600 hp. The thing we should be talking about now is plans for something new lol. And when it comes to the wife, the less she knows the better for sure lmao

He sold his LS6 intake and TB to me a while ago and bought the FAST. Now he is trying to swap me back + cash. We'll see what happens.

There is aluminum all over that porcelain, most likely the ring land lifted and sent the top of the piston with it.

Just throw a junk yard 5.3 in it. This is probably all from detonation with that much compression, timing and boost.

Still living, ran my 2 new bests even after floating the valves, drove it today & still gonna push to 9's. Its really all in the tune.

BTW only 1 piston escaped unscathed.

That's the thing, I don't think it was the tune. My a:f ratio was below 11.0:1, timing was in the 13-14 degree range, I never saw knock. Who knows, maybe #7 got hotter than the rest, I don't know. Will probably never know.

I have number 7 and 8cly with injectors that flow just a few more cc's than the rest. Just to keep them little on the fat side. Just a small trick for you in your next build

Overly rich is not a good thing either, it can be very hard on parts.

Probably not. Most likely I'm just going to go forged 347.

Do what I do with the wife. Every time you order an expensive new part, get a pair of shoes. This way she can get mad but not too mad cuz she's got new shoes!

Rods and pistons and go down the road. I bet it will only cost you 1200-1500 bucks.
