thats what I'm sitting at. Not saying it's the best, but it's what I'm comfortable sitting at with 93 octane at 12.7psi.

9:5:1 at 750 is a good setup because you dont have to rely on race gas. just some 93 some meth and maybe a gallon of 111 or something would still be over kill.

As low as possible and still be able to start ha ha ha. I ran 7.8:1 in my talon and Im at 5000 feet. Not sure why all of you run so high. The lower the more boost you can run til you get detonation. Which means more power. perhaps someone would like to explain...?

Drivability. The turbos spool quicker and it feels more snappy out of boost.

Because ultra low compression is soggy off boost and slower transient response. It will make more power with more compression.

I have no interest in taking an expensive combo and trying to find the limits of pump fuel. That being said, max out the turbos on race fuel with 7-1 compression and do the same with 11-1 compression and you will see how much was left on the table.

For a car primarily driven on the street, I prefer a nice responsive 10-1 motor and a safe 93 calibration at 10-12psi boost (cam specs and really every other aspect of the combination will have some factor in determining the safe limit while leaving some margin for boost fluctuation).

I get what you are saying. But throw in race gas and the lower compression motor will more than likely max the turbo out. Offering you the chance to upgrade and make more power. Now use 100% methanol and I could see why you would use high compression.

Personally i am trying to get as close to 10:1 as i can get without having to get to much taken off of my L92 heads. Been trying to find exact piston from SRP Pro that will get me there. I have no plans to take my D1SC beyond 10psi so i dont see the point in bringing my compression down any lower.

I re-read your post and I mis-read it a bit. At first I read it as you telling everyone on here to run 7.8:1 CR or lower CR. Too many times people come on here to spread lies or "forum myths" and it gets passed on as truth. My bad... carry on.
