What brand converter were you looking at? Do you have a ET goal for this year?

Let me know when you go testing, I'll make the trip down

I plan on getting a yank 3400 stall. That is what I used last year and it worked well. Just my plan to buy that converter that I borrowed to try changed when 1fastbird desided to scale his build back and wanted thr keep the converter.

As far as et goes I would like to see a high to mid 9 on 10psi and then crank it up in the fall and shoot for a 8.x and something in the 160+ mph range. Should be fun.

How things look at work right now I don't see me getting this thing done before end of may or June.

Well the car has been wrecked before(rolled off my trailer and over an embankment behind my house). Frame was bent behind the rear wheels and the rear quaters have been repaired. So the car will never be worth what it could because of that.

Mandrel bending solutions. They are the ones that look like small plates inside. If that makes any sense. You don't see the ribbed inside. It is realatively smooth

Not much to update now. waiting on a new flange to show up for my Blow off valve so I can weld it onto a new pipe and change the location. I am hoping it shows up tomrrow so I can run over to 1fastbirds and get him to tig a couple pipes together for me.

Once those are done and I am sure they fit I will be pulling to the motor and trans back out so I can work on cleaning up wiring(I am gonna relocate the fuse blocks inside the car)

Then I will be repainting the engine bay again. I am debating painting it blue again(I need to find the right shade as what I used before was the wrong blue) or paint it black. Either flat black or gloss black. Not sure yet. also gonna work on the cars diet as well. Hoping to be sub 3500lb race weight this year.

I am also debating if I just want to dump the waste gate again or put it into the down pipe. It would be really easy to do with the years set up. Was almost impossible with last years set up.

I got a few more updates and some pics.

I went over to 1fastbirds house Wednesday last week and had him and Fireball weld up some my charge pipes for me. Although I goofed messuring one so i had to vut it back apart and shorten it. I need to get back over to have him re weld it.

I also cut my piece of carbon fiber for my radio/hvac filler plate and mounted my 2 step controller to it.

Work has finnally started to pic back up so that is good but unfortunately the very slow last month and a half put a hurting on my wallet so gonna be a while until I can order a converter and the other odds and ends I need.

I will be pulling the motor and trans back out of the car once once I get some more free time at work again. then I will begin relocating the fuse blocks inside and car and also working on some more weight reduction.

Hey Dan

So im looking at doing the twin scroll thing on my S475 BW. I too have a a single 50mm wastegate and im kicking round the idea of doing something like your wastegate "merge pipe"...

It looks like you merged the two pipes to the wg before the actual wg flange. Do you anticipate any problems with pulses from the pipes "mixing" when the wg is closed?

I would think it might not be ideal, but with V8, it seems like twin scroll isnt needed anyway, so complete isolation isnt absolutely needed either.

Also, What size are those wg pipes?

thanks Dan!!!

the 2 merge pipes are 1.5" and they are blended into a 2" pipe that feeds my 50 mm waste gate.

I don't think there will be any problems with the way I have it set up. I just had no desire to sell my waste gate and buying 2 waste gates
