Default Where to get a high quality BOV for 1200 HP?

Looking for a high quality blow off valve to handle a 1200 HP engine. It is for my 427 twin turbo setup that is going into our 62' Chevy 2 Pro-Touring project. Most of the ones that I have come across are for smaller HP engines. I was also told that I may have to run two. Who makes a high quality unit for my needs??

HKS racing BOVs are really nice and handle ton of hp. I would also run one of their smaller HKS SS BOVs, but thats just me. The racing BOV should be fine.

Hope this helps.

I would go with Tial 46mm BOV that is the best on the market as for as I have seen. All Tial are top notch!

Another vote for Tial. I'm using two of them on my current project.

But not in purple! See how the BOV has opeanings all around the outside instead of just one port. Air out quicker and has a nice clamping system.

a single Tial 50mm BOV will be fine.. you can pick one up on ebay for just over $200..

for reference, the procharger race bypass is just slightly larger and it's good for a ton of horsepower.

BOV's are rated by boost not horsepower aren't they? Usually, ls1's can get away with a smaller BOV because we don't run that much boost. The BOV only needs to be able to vent the air pressure between the turbo and throttle body.

What diameter are they or do they come in different sizes? Sure would be handy for intercooler pipe routing.

They are like one inch... not ideal, but very workable....

Spoke to the guys at Vortech today and they recommend there Type R BOV. They saided that they are good for 10-15 psi. Anything over 20 psi and they said to use the Mondo.

I plan on building the setup for 15 but expect to run it at 10 all day!

I also asked them about needing to run two and they said the one would be fine. If surging becomes a problem then another should be used but is not expected.
