How much boost on stock '05 lq9

Default How much boost on stock '05 lq9

Made some passes at 14-15 psi w/no knock or problems (other then a bit of a rich afr and my iat vs. advance table was pulling me down to 5.5* of total advance).

After looking at the "alchemist" thread I am starting to question if it can handle it.

From what I understand the 05+ rods/bolts are improved, but how many folks are getting away with this kind of boost on an otherwise stock motor. My fueling is def. taken care of (80lb injectors/huge fuel system). But I want the motor to last a while.

I also am going to swap out for the ls1 coolant pipe and mod my ls6 manifold as that seems to be a common denominator for those who've had #7 break a ring land.

It will not last with timing in it on pump 92-93oct. If you are running race fuel or E85 then it will be no issue once you get timing in it.

what about 93 and alky injection or meth?
