Will I make enough to run high 5s, low 6's?

You can see what I have in my signature. We just started the tuning on the dyno. The guy who is doing the tuning said that it probably will only make 600hp to the wheels. I was expecting a lot more. Curious what kind of power I should have expected to make at 10lbs, 15lbs, and 19lbs of boost? We should be doing a full pull sometime early this week. I will post the results as soon as we do. I figure I need at least 700hp to the rear wheels to break 6 secs in the 1/8th. With the big block it would put it on the back bumper but the convertor and gears may not work as well with the turbo's. I also expect my car still to be 3600-3700lbs when finished. I lost the weight of the big block but added the turbos, cage, etc... Also added a sound system in the car this year. The good news is the weight distribution should be better.
I think I gave enough information. Let me know if I need to post anything else? Here is a short video of the car after just a few minutes of tuning. I believe this is with only 3-4lbs of boost and around 4k in rpms. I thought it sounded pretty damn good!

Guy that bought my old 60mm twins ran it on a 4.8 in a 71 chevelle and went 6.07 I believe. I dont think that motor was heavily modded, just a basic stock truck block. Claimed stock rod bolts to 7600 rpm
Dont recall how much he was making power wise or how heavy he is but its probably not over 700whp. E85 setup.

you should have 6's covered at that weight with 600whp let alone 700.
I ran about 6.2-6.3's with a weak 60 foot with about 650whp on a mustang dyno. 3550-3600 lbs estimated. Good launch and it would be closer to 6.0-6.1's.

Thanks. That is a good start. I been building this thing for a few months with these goals. You know how it is....it is finally done and now a bunch of local people think I am full of **** and way over reaching. I even have some thinking it won't even break 7. lol Started to make me second guess myself. I admit I am new to turbo's but I thought I had built the correct combo to reach my goals on a conservative tune. Thanks for playing.

I think you'll need to call up ptc and get a good converter. No reason that combo can't make 700+ rwhp easily. My ltd is 3700lbs, runs 2.73 gears, and on 17.5lbs went the times in my sig with a whopping 1.71 60ft the first time at the track leaving super super soft. It still ran 6.5 in the 1/8th so I think 6's you won't have a problem getting, but getting into the 5's will be a lot harder.

With the right converter it will be loose down low to spool up real easy and lock up hard on the top end with minimal slip. The most important thing in a turbo car is the converter. There was a 427 on here with twin 6262's in a 2010 Camaro that put down almost 1200 rwhp. Youre giving up quite a bit of bottom end on a 5.3 with that cam and vic jr but it should turn some good rpm. If you blow through your current converter the results will be way off. I would guess 10 lbs = 570ish 15 = 680ish and 19 = 780ish. These are estimates based on about 340 rwhp n/a.

Dyno numbers are all a big scam anyway...no two are the same. Theyre a tuning tool and to show comparisons to changes you make. Ive seen a car put 200rwhp more on one dyno vs another weeks apart, changing nothing.

your car sounds good..i can't wait to get mine started.With my little 6cyl with 570hp at the wheel i went 6.30's at 3500lbs. i believe if you get a good tune and call PTC for a converter it's gonna be all in the low 6's..just give the nay sayers the other lane so they can see your tail lights..Dusty Bradford is a good one to talk to at PTC........Bob

Well, just got off the phone with the Jimmy. They made a full pull but only to 6k and it made 588hp to the wheels on 15lbs of boost with a conservative tune. However, he said he thinks one of my A1000's is bad. It is really loud and I wondered if I got suckered into buying that thing. I guess one of the chances you take when not buying new. They said full pressure was dropping 10psi at the end of the pull and power was falling off big time.
He also said my graph has a "sag" I guess. Said that is a sign the convertor is not working on the dyno. Said not to worry about it because it might be fine at the track. They are going to check my pumps for now and see if that is one of the issues.

Sweet lord that's a sexy engine bay! I'm a bit surprised that you're only making 588whp with your set-up. What kind of torque is the set-up producing?

The BBC ran 6.31. Yes the A1000 can support that much but EFI and E85 is a little different. 1 is not nearly enough. I am running 160lb injectors, EFI and E85. No way that 1 could be supporting it enough. It definitely needs both. At least on EFI and E85. Remember it has to flow 30% more volume. That's quite a bit more.
I think once we get the fuel issue figured out that it will probably just make over 600 to the wheels. Again, the convertor and slipping is hurting it. Plus, I am sure that if we could take it on up to 6500 or even 6800 that it would make a pretty good size jump in numbers.

Dyno numbers may be lower than expected but the car may run hard at the track. I've seen 372whp Th350 high stalled cars run well into the 10's all motor...dyno numbers arent everything.

You have a very capable combination with that cam and turbo setup. It will definately come alive up over 6K rpm once you get the fuel issue fixed. I see alot more power coming.
