I still bet you're making more steam at that weight to be running that # than Keith is to run what he's doing. How you keep it together at that level I have no idea, big congrats are in order for that. How many runs does it see before coming apart for inspection?
AES deserves all the credit for this engine and how tough it is. As well as Anthony for keeping the tune up on point.

I know he's putting more power through this engine now than he ever has before, and I'm sure that AES has given him a maintenance schedule to follow after X number of runs. I know before these runs he was taking it down once or twice a year max to refresh it.

TMK Anthony already has a pit cooler box on wheels that he uses to cool the trans between rounds. He fills it with water from the intercooler tank, at least he did the last time I was with him at the track. I think he puts ice in it in the morning and then just uses the waste water from the intercooler tank after a pass.

Yeah that's what I was talking about. Couple guys I know use them for the engine between rounds, I figured there had to be a way to do it with the trans as well. be nice if you could get one of those pumps like ATI puts on their transmissions, and use that to circulate cold fluid thru the transmission between rounds, that would work great. But I imagine just running the pump and a water style trans cooler is working.

Current cooling system works great, we actually have to watch out for getting the trans too cool.

That's awesome, and extremely important with a car like that.

Weight wise if the intercooler Goes away with alcohol, no water on board at all, no Trans cooler other than something simple/small, and have a way to possibly cool Trans via pumping fresh non heated fluid thru the whole system... That was my thought.

I'll ask Ant but I think he's pretty addicted to the 'cooler system at least for cooling down the trans.

We did jump into Radial Wars a couple of months ago at RT66, was fun. Needed a 4.teen to win it.

Congrats to Anthony Manna, his sponsors and other folks involved in his 1998 Camaro Outlaw Drag Radial car.

This past weekend he clicked off a record setting 4.21@182 at Duck's No Mercy VI race at SGMP.

He ran 100 lbs lighter than he would in LSX class trim if anyone is curious, but still 3200.

To put that in perspective, the #1 quickest guy on DRs is Keith Berry, and Keith races at 27xx race weight.

Great numbers last weekend! The right combo of parts, a good tuneup, and a good working chassis can produce numbers that rival the 500+ cid big block combos. It can be done!

Is the -4 version a descendant of the -1 or the -2?

I think it would be the -1 and the -5 comes from the -2. Is that right?

I honestly don't know the differences in the castings Bob offers, but from what I've heard and do know the 12-4 and 12-5 have 1.0" thick deck surfaces.

Bob is also offering HIP castings now as well IIRC.
