Turbo build advice
I'm looking at doing a turbo in the near future and I'm trying to figure out the best way to go about it. I would like ~1000 rwhp on race gas and about 700-800 on 91 Octane for street. I have a LQ4 that I'm trying to decide between going with a 370 or a 408. It's also a 6 speed car and I plan to keep it that way. I am mainly trying to decide because I got a good deal on a turbo kit but it has a T4 flange. I'm afraid going to a 408 the T4 would choke the turbo. I've been looking at the GT-88's and they seem pretty impressive and seem like it'd hit my goal but would the T4 version hit my power goals? Would I need to goto a GT-91? I know some people will say search, but I've looked around a lot and I've seen a lot of information about the GT-88 with a T6 but not much with the T4. I currently have CNC L92 heads but I'll likely be swapping them out after reading about pushing water because of the low deck height. Any help would be appreciated, thanks

The h/c/I 6.0 just not cutting it anymore huh haha. For your power goals and turbo choice im not sure on t6 but if you want to stay t4 id think a couple t70s or similar would get you there as well. On a side note if the heads yous have now are getting changed out keep me in mind

Yea, I think the gt91 with 97mm turbine would be what I go with. So you think a 408 with that turbo in a t4 will hit my goals? The 408 won't flow too much for a t4 flange? Thanks for the advice.
Verz, yea getting bored with the h/c setup. I'm definitely going to an aftermarket casting when I do this so I'll let you know when I go to sell the heads. Is your car running? Haven't heard anything about it in a long time lol

My formula kind of ate itself back in may on the way to SRE so parted it out, paid off some bills and now working on a hoopty 82 regal I picked up and going to convert that

Putting the 6.0 in the regal? That should be pretty fun. Is your 6.0 running and all good? I'd be willing to trade + cash on your end. I'll need different heads and can and I'm building the bottom end so I may just try to sell my engine complete.
After doing some reading I think I'm gonna go 370. Now I just need to research what heads to go with.
