Seems like when you get into boost ,then you are out of gear and shifting......there is a reason GM didnt build GN's with a stick... Great Color and sounds awesome,do your self a favor and get an automatic sounds quieter then my TTA

very nice man.. its looking good so far.
as for the air filter, you can run a turbo mesh, this is what i did instead of the filter.

Thanks for the compliments! That was nowhere near full throttle though, and I was shifting at around 2800 RPM. Cars not tuned yet so I was going very easy on it! The turbo should have full spool by 3200 ish RPM when it's done. And in all honesty, I could never have an auto in a street car. Just not my style. I know they keep the spool going and are more effective for a turbo car, but I love hammering gears!!

Those mesh screens are much more restrictive than a properly sized air filter. They have a fraction of the surface area. Look into AFE filters, they are hard to beat.

I watched all the videos, nice build man. Mad props. Takes a lot of time, patience, and determination to do everything to that quality. The results are worth it though.

Haha, damn man, I aint THAT old! I have to admit, my hair has gotten pretty damn shaggy this winter. It's ussually buzzed, but I've been a lazy bastard lol.

I have heard that about the mesh as well. Seems like a good idea in a tight area, but I want to try to not hold the setup back in any way. I'll see what I can do about a filter. Gonna be tight, but I have a little bit of room to work with. I'll def check out AFE as well. I've heard them mentioned before.

Thanks man. Theres a lot of people that will dissagree with you (and that have told me straight out) about doing this level of work to a 3rd gen. I tell them to go pound sand. I didn't build it for them, or to make a profit off of it. It's my money pit, and is here to make me happy...nobody else.
