Seen a nova guy on here past few days thats was sick fast but would only run to the 1/8th then get hard on the brakes so he wasnt kicked off the track. You should do the same. Just work on your launch and 1/8mile times. What are your 1/8 times on the 10.1 run??

This is what most guys do. If you run a good 1/8th mile time, your 1/4 will of course be good as well.

Perfect your e.t. to the 660' stripe and it will pay huge dividends to the 1/4 mile stripe.

What's the rules for 1/8 Martin? How fast before they kick you out for not having a cage? Thought about going to Mooresville one night before I turn it up just to see what laggy 8 psi does. I have a helmet.

You'll need a fire jacket, long pants, shoes and a helmet. That should allow you to run well in to the low 7's high 6's at Mooresville.

A lot of guys with 6 point roll bars that can't run out the back in the 1/4 because they will break out with a sub 10 second pass just run to the 1/8th on a 1/4 mile track. By the time they are off the throttle they can coast to the 1/4 mile stripe and be well within their current e.t. limits due to safety requirements.

Martin I know several of my friends that run at Mooresville down in the 6's and only have a helmet. Either the track is not being too strict or they're just not getting caught. One of the guys is my friend Matt Floatn who's car you guys tuned. Lq4 mustang. Junkyard motor with cam only. Running 6.8 at 104mph. Im pretty sure he hasnt got a cage.

Ran 4 passes today all were 9 second passes but went hard on the brakes so I could work on my 60'
Last pass went out rough 60' but got a 9.9@144 115 in the 8th

Thanks!! Ya definitely happy with the results so far. (Still have arp head bolts)
Its got plenty to go I just need to get that 60' down but I can't seem to get better than 1.54 with the current gears. This car is so damn heavy! Haha

I didn't it was too hot to work on the car lol I will try that and a couple other suspension adjustments see how it does. That's why they call it test and tune I know my eibach pro springs with bilstiens aren't helping I'm sure either

That would be nuts but i would guess around 750 at the wheels. The th400 is soaking up plenty i'm sure

Just checked my converter slip. My first pass when i was running 14psi (old cast wheel) had 6% slip
This last pass at 144 had 15.7%!!
Will be calling Tim over at PTC tomorrow

I think I'm going to use the money for the converter for some front coil overs. What's the point of more power if I can't do anything with it. Right now have eibach pro with bilstiens and obviously not the right choice for drag racing. Prob go with strange da and 325lb springs???

Called up MWC and ordered some Viking coilovers with 300lb springs. Was going to go with Strange but I was steered into this direction and for the price i couldnt beat it. Now i'm sure this is going to help get my 60's down.
