Question Question about catch can?????

I'm in the process of putting on my vortech and have a question about the catch can routing. The crappy looking can that can with the kit is just run in line after the pcv and them to the side of the intake right? I was thinking of getting a better catch can and I know a lot of guys route theirs differintly. If I bought a vented catch can couldn't I just can of the nipple on the intake? What cans do you guys like that work well? Thanks for any help in advance.

i run mine one line from each valve cover to catch can, one line out of catch can to pcv/intake

if you have a valley cover you can run that to your air filter

I just finished mine this last weekend. If this pic helps.... Look at the back passenger side of my engine bay.

Footnotes: Pretty much just like mightymouse said, one line to each valve cover, that "Y's" to the catch can, and then the other side of the catch can go to a vacuum source. Mine is not hooked up in the picture. n Hope this helps.

Ok so are you running the pcv valve before or after the can? Do you have to use a pcv valve? 93Camaro I didn't think you could run a vented catch can if your gonna have it connected to the intake? Or is that why you don't have a line running to the intake?

I see what you are saying, because when you made boost, you would just blow out the filter. You could possibly run a one way check valve, but mine will be connected to my cold side intake pipe, so it will only see vacuum.

i run a breather on my oil cap then both lines from the valve covers to a sealed catch can then a line from the can to my intake with a check valve. pcv valves suck they blow apart. i got my check valve from moomba racing. a vacuum source helps clean out the moisture and oil vapours which helps with oil life. just make sure theres a check valve so you dont push boost back into your catch can

you can call the guys that make the Rx can which is what I have and they can send you the directions for their kit to give you an idea. that setup is really nice by the way. great can.
