Matt
You can learn a lot with a couple of gauges on your system by comparing pressures at different points. In other words at various points on the intake to see how much of a pressure drop from the turbo out let to the intake manifold and also you could compare the back pressure in the left exhaust manifold to the right side. By comparing the exhaust back pressures it would tell you if there is more of a restriction on one side caused by the transition.

yeah after this i will have to get some backpressure gauges and throw some other pressure gauges all over it i guess and see if there is a huge difference anywhere.

its nearly all 2.5 inch
its 3.5 to 2.5 90 out of the turbo, then into the 3 inch intercooler iwth a 2.5 to 3 then out of the intercooler with a 3-2.5 then 2.5 all teh way to the throttle where it hits a 2.5 to 3.75

Any pressure gauges will work you don't need anything special.

I don't think any one thing is going to gain you big power. Going 3" ic piping all the way will help. A little better merge will more than likely help spool some but I doubt it will increase power. The ls6 intake will help. Fresh plugs?? Larger downpipe? Maybe your intercooler is restrictive but I highly doubt it. Is there any way to know if you are seeing the timing advance you are commanding?

More than likely a mix of little issues(maxing out the flow of the 2.5 pipe) and the low reading dyno. I have dynos in my area that read 20% lower than others of the same brand. Car runs great so I wouldnt go changing a lot of stuff. I'd fix the cold side of the ic piping first and see if it picks up a bit. You should definitely see a gain just from that side. I know you'll get it figured out. Finally tracked down my issues to a weak fuel pump. Got a new one and hope to go out this weekend. Good luck!!

After thinking about it more I am starting to agree that there isn't much wrong with the car. Like Denmah said the things mentioned might help slightly, but I don't think that he will see a 200whp increase. Maybe 15hp here and 20hp there.

But reworking the transition before the turbo may make it lite faster and help get the car out of the hole without spray. And the bigger piping may also help with that by reducing the pressure on the wheel??? I don't know about that one, but it sounds good haha

Good luck Denmah

tractor supply flat steel, stock 15mm motor mount bolts reused, and angle iron, into a half inch bolt in the K member.

you can weld the bolt to the mount but it makes it harder to get the motor in sometimes, easy enough to just drop the half inch bolt in and then tighten it after doing a few imo

what we do is bolt the motor and tranny together throw some thin wood or something down on the oil pan or steering/k member and drop the motor on top of it, put the tranny where we want with a jack, before all this we bolt the metal to the k member with the half inch bolt and the flat steel to the motor itself also, once we have the motor about eyeball where we want it, we cut (eyeball) some angle iron and throw it in there, wedge it and tack weld it, then pickup the motor a little with the engine hoist and finish weld and then permanently install lol

been beta testing a plug and play harness for a Micro2 built by parish's friend in nebraska.

we are getting there.

reading the stock crank trigger wheel with no cam sensor plugged in at all, synching up and firing the stock coils with waste spark. on a 3 bar map sensor.

pretty awesome!
running good enough that i took the car out for a drive today and made a few lbs of boost!
here is a quick over view of a sloppy wiring testing mess laying on top of my stock harness and the car running and some explanation haha...

So you're gonna run the ignition with the MS? And ditch the 6010? You're running megasquirt 2? How's the tuning vs ms1? Easier? Harder?

I'm thinking we should have a "most popular threads sub forum" and I nominate this thread to start.
