When you hear the engine free like that with very low load it will normally show the power dropping as the run goes longer and the rpm will look like it's straight line. If you are using the C6 pump drive 1.250 input I have a converter that would let you up the boost that you are welcome to try. It would let Jim explore the 4bar without cooking the trans fluid!!

I think the run sounded funny because about 6800 rpm the boost controller shut off and went to base boost, 11. This converter is much tighter than the one I ran in Indy. The shift light didn't turn off between shifts! I hope it's not too loose. I'll call you in a minute.

BEAST! Nice! Wish I had time to travel out there to lend a hand. Good Luck!
BTW Andy you almost got me thrown off the track at Byron. I ran a 9.1 then you ran after me and you ran solid 7's. Then they went looking for the car and since ours look pretty close they thought I was you. We ratted you out and had them go check out your ride at your trailer. LOL..... I knew you were legal for that number so I figured you wouldn't mind.

I'll tell you after watching you run that day I really thought hard about swapping my turbos for the 76's. But like you said chasing the numbers is a never ending process....best of luck!

Thanks,

I have been thrown out of there. The first time I went with the street driven set up that went 8.2's they didn't like. LOL No fire suit, no gloves, no lic, 10 point cage, no shut off ect.....

I'm all legal now, it's easier.

Intmd8 (Jim) did a great job tuning on the car, it never skipped a beat last year at the big races and Andy would have had a better shot in the finals at Indy if the converter wasn't having problems.

Let's just try to avoid having fries with every meal next week haha.

On the dyno, hitting 200mph at 8300, or about 6% converter slip.

Does sound weird on the vid since the boost controller dropped out and it went from 28psi to 11psi boost.

It was picking up consistent power vs boost up to that point, should be interesting to see how it does at the track

That 6% slip was after the boost fell back to #11? that slip will be a lot higher when it is back up to full boost.

LOL, you don't say. I calculated it off of the previous dyno run, close to 1500rwhp and steady boost to 200mph/8300rpm.

Obviously it will be different going through the traps but on the dyno it doesn't seem excessive.

6% at that power sounds really good. It sounded like 25% on the vid at 65-7000, that was the part I was questioning. I have a converter that might help that he is welcome to try. I tried calling but could not get through on the number he left. I will be pulling for you in Florida, good luck!

Nice numbers!

sounds like a boost controller problem. Does the controller have a RPM setting?

No rpm, just timed. I just ran it off of one stage for the dyno.
