Subscribing... Any updates?? My GN now sits at home for 3 weeks out of the month, while it could be sitting in a shop getting swapped instead.

It just seems like the swap would be insanely easy... and the fact that I'd have a **** ton more power and better mileage is kind of eating at me.

I've never seen them below or above $500... Obx pieces are very nice for the price, and honestly I don't really see how they even make money on them. They could easily get $6-800 for them, but that would put them in the same price range as their made in America counterparts. BTW the Stainless works headers are significantly better quality than the OBX, this is a situation where you get what you pay for. Either way each header is worth exactly what you pay for it and if you've got the need or the money, the Stainless Works headers are the way to go every time.

My ?'s about the OBX units: Why would they use 1 7/8" tubing for an LSX turbo header?? Tubing that size is BBC territory...
NE1 know if they offer smaller, such as 1 5/8" for 4.8/5.3, and 1 3/4" for hi powered 6.0 displacement??

I just had to ding my obx headers a little to get the steering to fit. Using brp mounts but set back to where the v6 was so I didn't have to get a new driveshaft.

Does the hood clear with the Brp mounts and Victor intake? Were you able to use any of the factory frame holes for the mounts?

The turbo hood closes. With no issues. I think there was one hole that lined up. I was going to drill new ones but decided to just weld it instead.

Correct. It did not get into the hood liner either. My old setup was a v6 with stock intake and a 1" Plenum spacer with a pte upper Plenum and a 70mm tb. That did get into my hood liner.

Do you think the Holley Hi Ram would make it with the stock turbo hood and no hood liner? It measures 12".

I personally don't think so. My fast lsxRT is gonna be hitting the stock hood and i'm sure the Holley Hi-Ram is gonna hit. I'm gonna run a 4" cowl anyway so it doesn't really matter. The only way you'll make it fit under a stock hood is to do custom motor mounts and sit the motor lower. You may have to also notch the cross member underneath the oil pan too.
