So, haven't updated in a bit, but figured i'd share some new pics. The build is going really well. The piping work and layout is just freakin AWESOME! The tie in into the 3" exhaust pipes looks insane. This thing is gonna be a blast! Massive thanks to Rob and Dana at Unleashed for working their tails off getting this thing lined out. I know the piping around the leaf springs to the 3" double tip hangers was a PITA! Looks great guys!
Anyway, i'll shutup and get on with the pics.

Just made my mount for my turbo! got the Hooker manifolds the other day. Haven't touched it since Thursday. I've decided to mount it up front in the engine compartment, but every time i see you post some new pics I want to change my mind back to rear mount...lol! Your build is VERY clean man! I have some crappy cell phone pics that i can post...don't want to hijack you thread though! I'll post some with your permission...

These are only mock up pics...nothing is permanently welded yet. I will most likely set the turbo back a little further so i'll have the option of running a filter on the street but running it like it is in the pics when i'm at the track. I'm still playing with different ideas for turbo placement. Engine compartment, paint and other stuff will be done once the turbo setup is done. This is my first attempt at a turbo build...Here's what i got so far!

I believe they are up to 50k mile service intervals if I'm not mistaken. They have definitely been gaining popularity of late from the number of people with builds going on using these turbos.
What did it for me honestly was taking a ride in unleashed performance's c5 corvette. It puts down like 840hp at the rear wheels, but what gets you is how FAST the thing spools!! It's full boost by around 3600 on a rear mount setup!!
The thing jumped out of the gate nearly as fast as my TVS2300 supercharged corvette! They have around 4500 miles on there's so far with no issues....so it sold me on trying them out.

Talon, got a big favor. I know it's a big PITA but, could you measure the distance from the valley cover to the top of the TB hat? Never seen that hat before. Has Rob or you had good results from it? Just need to gauge what clearance I have. Thanks in advance.

Hey 2nd Gen....I'll be up to the shop Monday and get that measured for ya man. Been out of town this week, so Just now getting around to responding.
I do know that all the piping is off being coated (high temp jet-hot style coating good for 2200 degrees!!) all exhaust is metallic gray... Manifolds and turbo hot side are satin black. It looks fantastic!
Thanks Guys
Billy

Manifold and housing picture (to show the coating). Again, all the piping is sent off to be coated in similar fashion (just silver metallic rather then black). So it will never rust, or tarnish. Did this to help with heat flow and because i didnt want to have the wrap come off if I drug on something under the car. Here's a shot of all the piping off the car before it went out to be coated.

Well guys...its coming down to the wire!! The piping came back from the Coating place a day late but it looks freakin FANTASTIC! The wiring guy (Tim) was working away on the car getting the rest of it buttoned up so hoping everything comes together for Sunday's race!!
Anyway, here are some pics of the piping going back on the car. Its all coated with 2200 degree Silver Jet Hot coating.
Thanks,
Billy
