Thanks 99LS... Wish I could take more of the credit for it, but its really been Rob's "baby". I've got my own build going on with another 2nd gen Z28 car (LS1/T56) that I'm putting together for an autocross racer. Its been more of my own personal build.
This one, although its my car, the design and implementation I left up to its former owner and friend Rob Raymer. I knew he'd take special care of it and treat it like it was his own. From the results, he's done just that. I couldn't be happier with it!
Thanks guys,
Billy

I'll be driving it alot this weekend and let you know. Right now its got plenty of "go"...but not enough "whoah!"... so I'll be working on the brakes over the next day or so making sure they can stop this thing the way I want them too.
I've still got to work some of the interior over as well. Its got a 4th gen Dash in it that needs some additional fasteners and such as well. So i've got a busy weekend planned, but I'm ABSOLUTELY going to be driving this thing all weekend!

So went to pick it up today and let Rob tweak the tune a little more..added a little more boost and parked the tune at a 756hp/670tq number.. The car is a little sluggish out of the hole right now just do to not being able to load the converter up (brakes are really bad and just won't hold it!)...
I'll probably end up with a 2-step on it down the road. Gonna work the brakes over this weekend and see if I can get them holding better.
Extremely happy with the car and everything the guys at unleashed have done with it! Top notch shop!

Hey spooling!
It's right at 20lbs right now.... im gonna take it back up to unleashed Friday for some fine tuning on it. The brakes were so bad before we couldn't do much of a street tune so we are gonna tweak it a little Friday who knows we may crank it up to 25-26lbs and see if we can catch skinnies numbers be hard with an auto though!
Also gonna add some wrap to the underlying piping to make the boost come up a little quicker. Good to hear from ya man. How's yours coming around?

Saw the video on facebook of the car on the highway! Looks like she's running good! Not sure if you've mentioned it but, what rear gear ratio are you running with your th400? What stall? What size tires? What kind of rpms are you seeing on the highway while cruising?

And yea, even at 4000 lbs, it moves out! It'll smoke the tires at interstate speeds. It was definitely a crowd pleaser at the Somerset Cruise this weekend.

Yeah man it was a blast this weekend. For its first real road trip it did awesome! About 180 mile round trip in it, and it did fantastic. Robs dead on with all your questions but the tires are a 295/55/15 big sucka's!
I ordered a trans brake for it and a methanol kit today hehe... I dunno for sure but I swear this thing feels much faster then my 10.5x vette. I'm hoping it will dip into the 9's after some more tweaking.
Its an absolute blast of a car!! Rob and crew did an awesome job!!
Hows yours coming along man?

Thanks Hart.... PM me anytime man. I had the car down at LS Fest this past weekend. Didn't get to run it as much as what i wanted, because I was competing with one of my other cars... but i did get a couple runs in with it. The converter is waay to tight in it, so i'll replace that this week and see how it goes. It put down a 138mph pass in the 1/4 with hardly any power until about the 330ft mark. Then it took off! So we'll see how it goes with a looser converter in it. I was concerned about the brakes, and the new booster/master cylinder combo i put on last week worked well, so i was pumped about it. It was its first time down the track!
Good luck with your build and thanks for the remarks!

Also did the dyno challenge with it... (Came in 4th i think)... the guy handed me the sheet after its first pull and goes.. "Wow, that was unexpected!" hehe It idles around like a very calm, mild mannered street cruiser. Alot of jaw drops when it put down over 700+hp
I should have made 1 more pull with it... the turbo & piping didn't get a chance to get warmed up too much with the 2 quick pulls i made. But, oh well.. next year

I hadn't came back and posted any times yet...so figured I'd update the thread. I went the best of 10.81@143 at the clay city dragstrip the other night. The converter is waaay to tight not letting me spool any boost off the line so it's pulled out now and gonna loosen it up another 1000rpm. The 60ft on this thing is a mere 2.20!! 1/8th mile is 7.46@112 and still ended up running a 10.8x at 143. There's some videos posted up (here's one of a 10.90 pass ) I think it's got some 9's in it once I get it to launch and 1/8th mile worth a crap

Haha... It will definitely be down at Somerset cruises this year I got the converter loosened up some so here's a video of it running 10.22@140.98 down at London at the end of the season.
Thanks man,

I was trying to ease out on the launch. First time I ran it with the new converter it blew the tires off... so I was trying to move boost up about 3lbs per launch figuring out where it would hold and where it wouldn't. This pass was on about 7-8lbs of boost. I think it will hold a 10-11lb launch without wasting the tires. IF it hadn't started raining right after this pass, I might have had my first 9-sec ET in this thing oh well... next season!
Thanks!

Pulled this thing out of the garage for the first time this year. Late last year I switched the converter out, but a rain at the track never let me get any really good passes. Tonight I got a good clean pass to the tune of 9.66@141mph. Its the best time to date in the car. Still the same drivetrain, only difference is the converter. [IMG][/IMG]
