I think that system ROCKS and is prolly just as simple or simpiler to install then any supercharger kit, with equal results. This kit removes practically all the headaches of a usaual turbo installation on a V8 its amazing. Not to mention all the advantages it has over a supercharger....boost adjustablity...for one I think is its greatest feature. But...i wouldn't go buy one from them...3400!! goodness thats still outragous...make you own! I'm in the process right now. I have my turbo, boost controller, gauges, tubing, and oil lines all for under $300. ( got my turbo off ebay... Don't believe the price! Now all I need is the oil scavenging system, wastegate and blowoff valve...~$300 off ebay all together...damn looks like I just bought mine for way under a $1000....but then again i'm taking a lot of risks that come along with doing it myself. Reliability, affectiveness...where that STS is provin, and all ready to install. Well anywho post those result to prove that system! I can't wait either.

i think the difference is...
the STS kit is not limited to that 60-1 turbo. just like you can pay 5000 or whatever for the smaller QMP kit, the sts has the 60-1.
as long as you pay the diff for a bigger turbo they will adjust.
it's still the cheapest way to 500hp

Bring it on Powerdyne
Best $3400 ever spent on my car

It doesn't suck, but once you realize it's limits you are going to be wanting to step up to a used incon or a qmp, that's all. Boost is just as addictive as nitrous. It's a turbo starter kit like the powerdyne is a blower starter kit - both cost effective, but limited in ultimate performance relative to the big guns (ATI, Vortech, QMP, incon, etc).

p.s. My old powerdyne is back up for sale for like $1300 right now by the guy who bought it from the guy I sold it too and never installed it.

a regular turbo wont work like the sts kit. sts uses a diffrent housing (from what they say) specificly designed for this kit

cool, i'l be at moroso tonight (if it doesn't rain) to witness the runs. I saw the black LT1 car run a few months back.. i was impressed as it was trapping in the 113mph range.

I am curious as to the other units available. When first emailed them I thought they said it would be basic with the 60-1, or as an option could have 66 or 70 something like that. I would imagine changing out the headunit would require chagning out the tubing to some extent as well since its all designed together (larger turbo larger tubing ?). Cant wait to hear your results.

that lt1 ended up being built, that has nothing to do with the power it put down BUT it's a good idea if you do landspeed racing.
i mean you COULD run around withs 200 shot of n20, the fact that you "build it pretty good" doesn't mean it needed rockers to make that extra power.
specially whren that lt1 sees work in the salt flats in utah, the owner wants it in the 200mph area so it was a matter of time anyways.. also that was beyond 500 to the wheels at that altitude, AND it was a lt1.
also the diff between this and the powerdyne is that powerdynes is a SC lthat needs installing like anyother and happens to not make power. while the whole purpose for the sts is to be streetable and not a race kit.
the Turbotech base kit is become pointless as long as the STS kits don't blow up or something...
if a year down the road you want more hp, you can always go bigger like with any other turbo kit as long as you get it from them.

it's very easy to believe 3 psi could make 80+ more HP. I did it on a chassis dyno with a turbocharged 5.0 stang. From 6-8psi it picked up an average of 37rwhp per lb. of boost. it made 350rwhp at 6psi and ended up around 425 at 8psi
