Default Oil Feed for PT88

What size do I need to run? I have seen people that run 3an, 4an with a restrictor, and others that run unrestricted 4an. I already have a 3an setup that I was going to use if it will work... hopefully it will. I will be running a 10an drain line. Not sure if any other variables come into play here or not.

Is your turbo ball bearing or journal bearing? I ran unrestricted -4an on my old setup with no issue.

Generally run a -4 on all setups with 0.065" restrictor on dbb and no restrictor on journal.

So on a pro mod 88 no ball bearing I can run a -3 or -4 non restricted feed line?

I'm not sure whether it is journal or ball bearing. How can I tell? Either way it looks like I will be ditching the 3an line I already have. lol

If it's non ball bearing then use -4AN line unrestricted. If it's ball bearing then you will need to restrict it. Journals need more line pressure than the ball bearing turbo's.

Next question: What size is the fitting that goes into the turbo? 1/4 npt? I noticed most of the oil feed "kits" have a 1/2 npt fitting, but thought that sounded a little small to go to 4an.

Mid frame 88 has 1/4 NPT thread. I use a -12 return

Just get a 1/4 flare to 1/4 NPT adapter for the feed

Thanks for the info.
I will be running a -10 return since I already have it and I don't think it will cause any problems from what I have been reading... even with an unrestricted -4 feed.
