Default Problems!

Well i took my car out tonight and in the lower rpms it seems to sputter...I had it for about 2 weeks now since i got my procharger tuned...When ever i going to take off the car jerks really bad like it wants to go but doesn't.......Once i get on it and the car makes it over 2-2 1/2 grand then the car pulls hard like normal....I'm thinking its either fouled plugs or something with my injectors....ever since i got the car sometimes when coming to a stop the rmps drop really low to the point where it sounds like it may die but hasn't done it yet...But at a dead stop the car idle fines...I have lucas 42lbs injectors and walbro intank pump and ngk6 plugs...My air/fuel is 12.0-12.1 What could be wrong???

Probably plugs are a bad O2, hold it a different RPMS to see if its misfiring anywhere.....

I just put new plugs, plug wires, injectors and a intank pump whenever i put on the procharger...I didn't have much time last night but i check all the wires and pulled one plug and it was fine....It doesn't die when its below 2500rpm just doesn't do much....I don't have autotap...As soon as i get time i'll check the injectors

My GT mustang is doing the same thing. We changed the plugs, that fixed it for about a week. I don't know where start next. It's messed up because I have headers, h-pipe and a bunch of other mods to go in, but what's the point if it sputters.

Have you scanned the car at idle? What are the L trims? Are they uneven? If they are like -25 you could be hella flat and you could be loading up.

Tuning.

These Lucas injectors seem to be a bit tricky.

Well if the car pulls hard above 2500 rpms the plugs might be loading up below that, or you have a spark issue.

I think you guys have two different problems. I think that Scott you have a throttle/TPS type problem, what have you changed recently?

NBM, sounds like you are running phat at idle. If you scan it you should see that it's pulling out fuel at idle.

Well tonight i went out and check out all the tubing on the blower and went over everything else and everything was fine....So my buddy came over and i let him take it for a drive and when we first left the gauges were on but the air fuel gauges wasn't reading so we shut it off and started it agian and it work...So we went for a ride and the car ran perfect..I felt stupid after telling him how it ran before....We then stop and started it back up and it ran like **** as it did before...The Air fuel gauge was on but wasn't getting a reading...So we were on the way home to check the 02 sensor and we stopped and started it agian at the stop sign...Then the gauge lights would flicker and then wouldn't come on so we went back to the garage and checked the ground wire and tighten it back up and all the gauges worked fine agian and the car ran perfect agian....So thats seems to be the problem so tomorrow night we are going to re ground the wires...Hopefully that solves everythings...Something so small and stupid...

Samll and stupid maybe, but reality of how simple these things can be. Thanks for posting though. This will help someone somewhere. That could have been 1/2 day at Speedfor them to find that.

What is most likely happening is your MAF numbers need to be tweaked a bit down low. The a/f guage probably isnt reading when the O2s go full rich, then when the computer starts pulling out fuel to compensate the car goes to die since the MAF reading is way too low at idle. Seen it quite a few times with the ATI blow through already. It will also give the car a huge stumble at part throttle off idle at times.

Hopefully it is just the wiring, if that doesnt fix it I can show you what to do to get it to run better, every car is a little different so you will have to play with it on your own but I can get you in the ballpark if you have LS1edit.
