Default intake temps on your turbo setup on straight pump gas.

What intake temps are you guys seeing on your Turbo setup on a 1/4 mile run on straight pump gas?

at least in my opinion, if you are over 130f at the end of the track you need to get a bigger IC, or change up your turbo options, or add methanol, something.

250 dollar methanol kit and some washer fluid is the cheapest insurance and bang for your buck you can do to a turbo car.

more important then iat is the delta in IAT between the start and end of a pass, i am in texas and it gets hot here.

i know turbo guys w/ air to air that see over 200* iat's and are going low 5's reliably. to simply say 130 is as high as you should ever see is ridiculous. it gets to 110+* here, i'd love to see a a2a that can keep iat's under 150 in with ambient like that.

for a little added peace of mind i run 80% meth over 10psi and it quickly brings my iat's back down

yeah sorry i was vauge with that, most of our days are 70s so you are correct
going from 80-130 in a pass is what i like to see.
i live in the north east.

in the winter/fall incoming air temps driving around are 40 easily with air to air.
